Within these meetings information about the protected area, the purpose of the project, the activities funded by the project, the biotic and abiotic assessments, the procedure for the management plan , and last but not least, the expected results were presented.

The main purpose of these meetings was to draw stakeholder’s attention to the fact that the protected area’s management plan is being developed and that in order to achieve a viable and usable management plan it is necessary to involve stakeholders in the process of achieving it.

Informative materials were also disseminated during these sessions: flyers, folders, table calendars and pens.

Ecological education activities for schoolchildren on the Oituz-Ojdula site – June 2018

Within the project „Elaboration of the Natura 2000 Oituz-Ojdula Management Plan”, Activity A.2.1. „Ecological education activities in schools around the Oituz-Ojdula site” ecological education programs were organized for children in localities nearby the Oituz-Ojdula protected area.
After the theoretical education at the end of May, schoolchildren also had field education. Thus children from Ojdula (on 28th of May), from Breţcu (on 5th of June) and from Lemnia (on the 12th of June) visited a beatiful valley and a stream close to Oituz. Schoolchildren from Oituz visited a pasture with trees, close to Ojdula, on the 4th of June. Within the educational program, children were divided into groups. With the help of luffs and determiners they responded to questions related to trees, insects, aquatic invertebrates, vertebrates and plants. The children enthusiastically jumped from one stone to another, looking for signs of life under the stones of the stream. They had time to play, run, and playfully learn about the protected species of the site.
The project of Private Forest District of Breţcu, in partnership with the Vinca Minor Association is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme 2014-2020.
